The meaning of life

Is there a God? Is there a life after death? What is the meaning of life?

I believe in God. You can read more about that in my blog.

I belive there is a life after death, and that this after-life is the real life. The life we live here on earth is just the prelude, a short, imperfect introduction to existence. To some of us it is mainly a good experience, to others it is not. For most of us, I suppose it is a little of both, and a whole lot of inbetween...
This life, I belive, is where we decide where we really want to live our lives, with or without God.

I believe that the meaning of life is love. That we exist to love each other and to love God. I belive God created us, at least in part, so that we could experience Him, who is Love, and so that he could experience being loved by us.
The world and our lives are far from ideal, and love has turned to hate and indifference. I think this is a consequence of God's definition of love being more than mere admiration or instinctive affection. True love is when you love someone because you choose to, and not because you have to. At least, I would feel a lot more gratitude to a person who loved me by choice, than to a person who loved me without choice. I think God feels the same.

I don't have the answers to all the difficult questions in life. (I wish I had...) I am constantly confronted with things that I don't understand. But I have experienced God, and I have seen some of the things that defy logic - at least my logic. I choose to believe.
